  • With a background deeply connected to both medical and home birth traditions, Emily has always been passionate about birth education. Growing up with a father who was a doctor, hospitals felt familiar, but after marrying into a family with a strong home birth tradition, she was inspired to research all aspects of birth. Before her first pregnancy, she spent hundreds of hours studying, determined to separate fact from cultural norms and make informed choices. With her first birth, Emily experienced a non-emergency transfer from a planned home birth to the hospital, which left her reflecting on the gaps in birth education. She often found herself thinking, “If only I had known...” and realized many other women felt the same way—wanting to make the best choices but unsure where to start.

Emily’s search for a way to help other women led to a conversation with Veda where they discovered a shared vision for empowering women with the knowledge they need for birth. Together, they created Women to Women Informed Health, a space dedicated to education, support, and helping women find the path that is best for them—whatever that may be. Now settled in Utah with her husband and two daughters, Emily is passionate about teaching, supporting, and guiding women to make confident, informed decisions about their birth experiences.

  • Veda Weinert is a mother of four, entrepreneur, women’s advocate, and a trained doula and educator. With over a decade of experience as a massage therapist, Veda developed a deep understanding of how profoundly the birth experience can shape a woman’s body, health, and overall life. As a second-generation home-birther, she welcomed all four of her children at home under the care of a professional midwife. However, like many women, she unknowingly experienced postpartum depression after each of her births, struggling without the knowledge or resources to recognize what was happening or why she felt so depleted.

Through countless conversations with other women, Veda discovered that her story was far from unique. Many women shared similar struggles and often expressed, "If I had known, I would have done it differently." These shared experiences became the catalyst for Veda’s mission and the driving force behind Women to Women Informed Health. Her work is centered on ensuring that every woman understands her options for childbirth and knows how to care for her own needs—physically, emotionally, and mentally—throughout the entire process.

Veda is passionate about equipping women with the knowledge they didn’t even realize they were missing. Her ultimate goal is to empower women to take control of their birth experiences and feel confident, informed, and supported every step of the way.

“Veda and Emily were both so knowledgeable about the topics they were discussing and also open to learning more and hearing our stories. I like that Veda and Emily come from different birth backgrounds- home births and hospital births. Those are the ends of the spectrum we most often think of regarding birth, and no matter the choice of the mama taking the course, she will know she's in good company.”
